Pharmacy Ce Seminar - Pharmacists are required to attend continuing education seminars each year. Through the pharmacy CE seminar, pharmacists are required to obtain a certain number of completed continuing education hours each year.
The concept behind pharmacy CE seminar is relatively new. Only in recent years have pharmacists been required to attend a pharmacy CE seminar from time to time throughout the year.
The purpose behind the pharmacy CE seminar is to ensure that pharmacists are well versed in new medications on the market and in new procedures regarding pharmacy practice. There are different types of pharmacy CE seminar programs held each and every year for the active and practicing pharmacist.
In order for a pharmacy CE seminar to be one in which a pharmacist will get credit, the pharmacist licensing board or its designated agent in a given state needs to approve the pharmacy CE seminar in advance. Only certain types of seminars qualify for credit.
The pharmacy CE seminar can be conducted by a wide range of professionals and other people who are well versed on a given topic or in a given are of pharmacy practice.
For example, if a new and widely used drug comes onto the market, the manufacturers themselves may be involved in presenting a pharmacy CE seminar on some level. Likewise, other experts in different areas of practice and what have you can also be involved in planning and creating a pharmacy CE seminar on a given topic.
