Pharma Industry R&d Expenditure Report - The pharmacy industry in North America is attempting to justify the high costs of prescription medications based on the high costs associated with research and development. The pharma industry r&d expenditure report does not necessarily bear out this contention.\
In researching this article, we discovered that pharma industry r&d expenditure report is not easily available. In fact, pharmaceutical companies keep their pharma industry r&d expenditure report confidential for the most part.
Therefore, in the final analysis, the pharma industry r&d expenditure report really will not be all that helpful in supporting or debunking the contention of the drug makers that they spend a significant percentage of their profits on r & d.
What is evident from the pharma industry r&d expenditure report is that universities do spend a good deal of their money on research and development. However, this does not impact the bottom line revenue of drug makers for the most part.
In the final analysis, drug makers continue to report record profits. Therefore, one can only question how accurate the contentions that are being made about the costs associated with r & d.
Certainly, research and development is an expensive ticket item for drug makers. And, of course, r & d is very important. But, that does not necessarily justify the high costs of many medications on the market in the day and age.
Consumers need to stay on top of the issue of the high costs of drugs. They need to encourage appropriate governmental authorities to do likewise. While no one wants to stiff r & d, at the same time no one wants to allow drug prices to continue to shoot through the roof. There needs to be some balance in regard to r & d and the costs of medications.
