The Sparey 5cc diesel engine

picture of the Sparey 5cc diesel engine This is the very popular 5cc diesel engine designed by L H Sparey about half a century ago.

Plans are available from Model Engineer (Plan MM122) and the casting for the crankcase was purchased from Hemingway Kits (England). The rest of the engine was made from bar stock. The fuel tank was turned from perspex. Hemingway may also be able to help with plans for this engine and have plans and castings for many others.

Many hundreds of these "Sparey" engines have been built.

For information on building model engines like this look up "motor boys international" on any search engine.
