Most of John Wilding's clock construction books contain not only the details of making a particular clock but chapter and verse on all the necessary machining, gear cutting and other techniques needed to finish your first clock.
US and Canadian clockmakers may get copies of Colin Thorne’s books from Guy Lautard. His site includes pictures of Thorne's clocks - very useful if you don’t know what they look like!.
US and Canadian clockmakers may purchase W R Smith's books and John Wilding's books on-line from Clocktools.
Books on clocks may be purchased on-line from Booktopia or Amazon.
