Stained Glass Window Project 1964

1964 - Newspaper

This lovely stained glass window at Beechholme, the L.C:C. children's residential home in Fir Tree-road, Banstead, was designed, built and installed by eight of the boys and two girls, whose ages ranged from 11 to 15 years.

They did the work under the supervision of Mrs. Nancy David, teacher-in-charge of the experimental group.

The window cost 80, the money being raised by the sale of cakes and help from church funds.

In our picture are four of the helpers, Derick Fletcher, David Gould, Ron Proc and Corim Ahmad.
