Angela Janice Richards

Recovery

In contrast to yesterday, Angie was stable today. I (Jen) waited until 2.30pm for the surgeons to finish with a complex cardiac case before they could get to Angela. They operated to remove her wire, and because she has been having strong anti-biotics since Tuesday, the infection was localised. She has a small wound in her chest (about 1cm squared) and will continue to receive strong anti-biotics through a "central line" in her neck for the next two weeks so she will hopefully heal quickly (for her).
