Sunny, Sunday at the showpiece that is Blackman...............a black day and at times, what seemed to be, Blacksmiths at play.

Bringing back the crowds is obviously our main priority with a score of 4 all. Yes eight goals..............I have now seen another footballing miracle.

We took the lead after a couple of minutes and by the 10 minute mark we were ahead 2 nil. We had possession. We created chances. We controlled the game.....................then with about 10 minutes left we hit a flat patch. They made a run down their left cut inside the defender, 3 meters from the by line, but inside the box. Our defender looked beaten, but alas he dived head first at the ball and headed it away. Yes thats right while the ball was rolling along the ground......................great save for a corner we thought. Stupid but great play............................we all heard the whistle. Corner we thought.......NO we were wrong, (not the ref but us). He had awarded a penalty for obstructing the play. That’s right, for foolishly losing his footing and putting his head in a dangerous position at the feet of the player.........................secondly if it was obstruction then that’s an indirect free kick.

Anyway its now 2-1 and half time. We were confident and comfortable...........

2^nd half starts like the first and before you know it its 3-1 our way...................well this is where things get interesting.

In a nut shell we played like a busted a** and conceded an ordinary goal and a reasonable free kick to find ourselves 3 all at the 25^th minute mark. Five minutes later our keeper had a brain snap and conceded a Mr Whippy..........soft serve. What a bad goal through his hands. 10 to go now and we are down 4-3....................and the opposition is s**t.

We had some fortune and was able to score a well taken goal with 5 minutes to go, albeit from an offside position, to make it 4 all.

From the kick off we had a player sent off for barging into a player in back play, but in front to the ref...............anyway in the end we were lucky to draw.
