Lane Cove West reserve team was back at home after a disappointing performance
against Kissing Point. Milce has turned out as ref sporting a tight fitting

Things
weren't helped with Warn going off early due to injury and Sweeney following
later in the match. Fortunately for the Reds they were able to call on the
abilities of an unheralded 12th player nicknamed "The Posts" who was
called into action twice in the first half to keep the game scoreless. Asquith were having too much possession however, and eventually it
told and they were able to get 2 goals in before half time.
A
half-time talking to saw the reds come out a little bit more structured in the
2nd half, with Bono coming on to add some starch to midfield. They even managed
to halt the Asquith barrage with a few attacking raids of their own.
Asquith
were beginning to get frustrated at their inability to go further ahead, their
efforts being thwarted mainly by a great effort in goals from Duncan who made a
few outstanding saves including blocking an overhead kick from 1m out.
One
of the Asquith players took exception at his sides
inability to score and started taking his frustrations out on Lane Cove West
players and was fortunate only to be booked for his actions.
In
a display of extreme refereeing incompetence Peter Alorati was also booked,
presumably for being too good looking.
