Profile

An avid cricket historian and statistician, Jason Lord is a welcome addition to the Rain Gods' side. His batting technique is reminiscent of the golden age of cricket, with the style of C.B. Fry and the eye of W.G. Grace. His vast knowledge of the game is invaluable on the field, as his photographic memory recalls the fielding traps used over the years to snare a batsman, no matter the situation.

Sometimes difficult to track down, Jason can usually be found poring over dusty old tomes searching for the slightest reference to cricket. His latest opus, "The County Season of the Year 1882: Players and Officials", is his most ambitious to date, and is expected to bring in a tidy sum. Despite his talent for scholarly pursuits, Jason's greatest thrill is playing cricket. Indeed, one day he hopes to play a test match for Australia at the hallowed ground of Lord's, to which he changed his name when 14. Who knows, with his unrivaled database of cricketing facts, this could one day come true.
