AF fans get in fast: The EP launch is going to take place 17 October 2008 at East Brunswick Club on Lygon Street. Our rocking show with Jebediah sold out before the date came around, and there's a very good chance there'll be no tickets left for the door at this show either. Basically, if you want to make sure you get in, then book HERE now while you still can. We have a few suprises in store for the live show and it'll be your first chance you'll get to grab a copy of the EP (and at a discounted price!). See you at the big show!

Sup folks? Just wanted to let you all know we're supporting Jebediah next Thursday the 4th of September at The Evelyn. It's likely to sell out so if you're planning to get along you might want to call the venue to book sooner rather than later. Also, Sydney artist Westernsynthetics has gone and remixed our track Porch Dweller. It's a really dark and intimate remix and we were all very honoured by it. Do yourself a favour and check it out here. Much love. News on our debut EP launch to come.

We've just sent our new single Porch Dweller, as mixed by Franc Tetaz, out to a few different radio stations. Fingers crossed it gets a play! In the mean time, we're working with Craig and Fin over at Hothouse for a few more rocking numbers to be included on our EP.

Guten Tag! Just dropping by to give you an update on our forthcoming EP. While we've had some minor delays, we're pleased to announce we'll be mixing the remaining tracks with two amazing producers, Craig Harnath and Finn Keane at Hothouse Studios. The first two tracks ('Porch Dweller' and 'Long Lost Cause') have been mixed and mastered by Franc Tetaz (Lior, Gotye) and are now available on our myspace. They're sounding amazing so be sure to check them out.
In the coming weeks we'll be finishing off the EP, releasing the tracks to radio, and booking shows so we can get back out on the live scene and rock out to the new tunes. We'll keep y'all updated!
Cheers,
Jimbo

Hello beautiful people! I can't believe this is our first update of the year. I guess it just shows how insanely busy we've been. This is just a quick update on what we're all up to here at the AF HQ.
Firstly, we've commenced the final mixing of our EP which we hope will be finished this month. At the mixing helm, as we've mentioned, is Franc Tetaz, who is nothing short of a genius (although the art he hangs around his mixing console is somewhat questionable). Everything is sounding spot on, and we're really looking forward to getting all your reactions to it. It's just taken so long, we all feel like we're sort of pregnant, and the little bundle of joy is gripping the sides, refusing to come out. And we're screaming, "Give us some drugs for the pain!" and the powers that be are screaming back, "You're doing fine!" Don't worry, we're pushing as hard as we can to give birth for you. I feel so maternal.
We've also been working with two really cool artists, Amanda Brizzi and Adam Whitty to design the EP art. It's looking really dark. We love it and we think you'll dig it too.
Besides all that, other silly business has been keeping us occupied, which we hope to tell you about soon. In the mean time, if you happen to be in Sydney next Tuesday (12th Feb) we're ducking up to play a show at the Annandale. Otherwise, come and check out our next Melbourne gig on March 1st at The Evelyn. We're playing with The Mothertones and Midnight Mass. It's sure to be a real humdinger.
Kisses.
Tommy

Hey all! As per usual we’ve been super busy at camp Armen Firman. We’ve been laying down the final touches to Porch Dweller, writing new material and rehearsing for up and coming live performances. All this plus pelting each other with rotten plums, close encounters with the neighbours mutt, and frisbee throwing to the neck, which I can assure you was very painful to say the least… We’ve been busy!
Thanks to the magical hands and ears of Francois Tetaz, ‘Porch Dweller’ is sounding superb, we are now realising the rewards of sacrificing our weekly beer binging, or in Jim’s case extreme base jumping, expense’s to build our home studio… Yay!!!
Tonight we’re privileged to be performing along side Plastic Place Alice at the Evelyn Hotel in Fitzroy. Seriously, those of you who don’t know who PPA are- come and check them out, they’re awesome! Plus, we rock!
Well, that pretty much wraps it up for 2007… Thanks a lot for everyone’s support this year!!! Hope you all had a Merry Christmas, til next year happy 2008!
Cheers,
Matt.

Armen Firman Hit Sydney
Last Thursday we took off along the Hume to play our first ever shows in Sydney…
On the Friday night we rocked out at Sonar in Luna Park. The audience seemed to enjoy the show while we definitely enjoyed rocking out, albeit with a mid-set monologue by Sammy which seemed to focus mainly on ‘golden showers’. Despite our rocking set, most certainly the highlight of the night was watching Rob lure the ladies afterwards. Saturday night we headed south-side to play the Oxford Art Factory on Oxford St. This venue is awesome and again we were warmly received by the Sydney crowd.
Cheers to Bertie Blackman and band for the gigs and good times! Particularly Evan for enlightening us as to what a ‘blumpie’ is. If any ladies would like to know, I’m more than happy to demonstrate.
Rock on,
Matt
