ABOUT HELENSVALE
Helensvale is situated sixty kilometres south of Brisbane, on the northern end of the fabulous Gold Coast, Australia's premier tourist and vacation destination. The Gold Coast is renowned worldwide for its 40 kilometres of white, sandy beaches and sparkling blue water of the Pacific Ocean. The backdrop of the coastal ranges and the hinterland offer magical rainforest walking tracks and stunning lookouts.
The suburb of Helensvale has to the West, the backdrop of the Gold Coast hinterland and the adjacent Wet 'n' Wild, R M Williams Outback Spectacular and Warner Bros Movieworld theme parks. To the North is the Dreamworld theme park. East of Helensvale are the resorts of Hope Island and Sanctuary Cove. To the South is the holiday playground of the Gold Coast.
Helensvale was the first integrated suburb built on the hinterland fringe of the Gold Coast, and welcomed its first residents in the 1980s with a shopping centre, primary and secondary state schools, golf course, parks and a bowls club.
Since then, Helensvale has grown into a quiet, middle-class suburb with a population of approximately 15,000 residents. Close to the Coomera River and its tributaries and within comfortable driving distance to Brisbane. It is also a key station on the Gold Coast-Brisbane rail link.
