Level Assessments Each member who wishes to compete in HRCAV competitions must be assessed by a qualified Level Assessor. These can be organized by the club or by the individual rider at a cost.
Assessors contact details can be obtained from the Club Secretary or through the HRCAV.
Grading Cards All members who are to be graded need to obtain grading cards from the HRCAV before they are assessed as the Assessor needs to sign the card and check that details are correct. They will not and cannot assess you if you do not have one. There is a different grading card for each discipline. There are now six levels of riding ability in Dressage, Level Advanced (hardest), level 1, level 2, level 3, level 4 and level 5 (for beginners) There are also six levels now for Showjumping to bring them into line with the other disciplines heights. Level Advanced, Level 1, Level 2, Level 3, Level 4 and Level 5 There are five levels in Combined Training, Horse Trials and Showing
Each member must be assessed in order to compete in official competitions
