Osteopathic
Manipulation uses a soft hand approach, and very specifically directed low amplitude
thrust proceedures minimising the chance of going too far and causing injury.
Muscle
Energy is a very gentle
way to mobilise, and align the spine and associated soft tissues. It
involves accurate positioning of the joint, then gently contracting the muscles
against resistance, followed by release. When used in treatment of the pelvis
(sacro-iliac joints), it can assist treatment of difficult groin strain, or
relieve lower back pain where treatment of the lumbar spine alone has failed.
