Seeking contacts to help with family trees of the Hodges Families of Yeovil, Barwick and Stoford , North Perrott and Haselbury Plucknett and Lopen Somerset, England.

My main interests are the ancestors and descendants of

(1) Thomas Hodges 23 years old a carpenter of Stoford, Somerset married Elizabeth Warry 26 January 1846 at Barwick, Somerset, England. His father was John Hodges a carpenter. Her father George Warry. Witnesses George and Mary Hamblin.

(2) Samuel Hodges married Mary Warry 9 February 1793 North Perrott and probably lived at Haselbury Plucknett, Somerset

(3) James Hodges married Rebeckah Woolmonton (or Woolmington) 9 February 1772 witnesses John Hodges and William Genge

(4) William Hodges to Charlotte (maiden name unknown) about 1825 around Yeovil area of Somerset or Yetminster area of Dorset

(5) John Hodges to Hannah Virgin 11 June 1811 Barwick witnesses James Higgins John Redo and

(6) John Hodges to Elizabeth Hamblin 4 January 1821 Barwick witnesses John Shinen and Penninah Hamblin

(7) Samuel Hodges born 1832 son of William and Charlotte Hodges of Stoford, Somerset who emigrated to Australia on the ship ‘Mary Pleasants’ arriving Moreton Bay Queensland 14 August 1857 aged 25 stating he had a brother in New South Wales

(8) William Hodges born 1825 son of William and Charlotte Hodges who emigrated to Australia arrived on ship ‘Anglo Saxon’ New South Wales 21 October 1854 with his wife Louisa 23, and children Amelia 2, Elizabeth 1 and sister Harriet aged 24

(9) John Hodges born 1829 Somerset son of James and Elizabeth Hodges , wife Susan Hodges born 1833 daughter James and Mary Marsh and a daughter Anne Hodges born 1854

and Susan Hodges born 1833 daughter of James and Elizabeth Hodges who arrived on ship ‘Alfred’ in 1858

( maybe from Mudford, Somerset). Said they had a brother living in Sydney New South Wales

(10) Samuel Hodges born 1830 Somerset son of George and Tabitha Hodges and wife Charlotte Hodges born 1827 daughter of James and Emma Hobbs with children James aged 5 , Emma aged 2 ( maybe from Marston Magna, Somerset)
