...do HIMS and Clinical Coders do?
Health information managers work in a variety of areas such as health records administrators, clinical coders, researchers, managers, health insurance workers and project officers. There are basically two streams within the coding profession. Those HIMs with a degree on the professional officer award and administrative officers who gain their knowledge from accredited courses. I encourage others to think about specific field as it is an interesting and rewarding career path to consider. There are several ways to start a career as a HIM or Clinical Coder. Please see the education section to the various institutions which offer university or accredited training in this profession.
