Anne has worked as a
clinical psychologist for nearly 20 years during which time she has worked in a number
of different settings including psychiatric hospitals, employee assistance programs and
as part of an integrated medical practice. She has experience across a wide range of issues
including depression and anxiety but has a special interest in assessing and treating trauma-related issues,
particularly as they relate to victims of childhood abuse and military, emergency service and medical personnel.
She also treats patients with dissociative disorders including Dissociative Identity Disorder in which she
has undertaken specialised training with the ISSTD (see links). Anne works mainly with adult clients.
Anne holds a B.A. in psychology and anthropology from ANU, a Graduate Diploma in Applied Psychology (Counselling)
from the University of Canberra and a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology from Charles Sturt University. In addition,
she has undertaken extensive training and professional development across a range of areas including EMDR and hypnosis.
She is a member of a number of professional organisations including the Australian Psychological Society and its Clinical
College; both the Australian and International Societies for Traumatic Stress Studies and the International Society
for the Study of Trauma and Dissociation.
Outside of work, Anne enjoys spending time with her family and dogs, Nordic walking, music, travelling to France and gardening.
Anne is registered with the Psychology Board of Australia and endorsed as a clinical psychologist which entitles patients to receive a higher
level of rebate under Medicare. She sees patients Tuesdays to Thursday only.
