Mathematics is a method of describing God's universe, using logic, measurement, geometry, algebra, functions and probability.
Here are some problems to ponder!
1. How many different ways can three children share 8 sweets so that each child gets at least one?
2. What is the next letter in this sequence:
o, t, t, f, f, s, s, e ... ?
3. What is the suface area of a cube which just fits inside a sphere of radius 1 cm?
4. The numbers 4 and 4/3 have the property that their sum is equal to their product.
How many others can you find?
5. Can you find the 30th decimal place of 5/7? (Hint: it is a recurring decimal)
6. Can you find the 30th decimal place of pi? (Hint: see the poem below written by Joseph Shipley in 1960)
But a time I spent wandering in bloomy night;
Yon tower, tinkling chimewise, loftily opportune.

8. Find the simple fraction the shaded part is of the whole regular octagon
