About Us
FAMS Theatre Company Inc. is a non-profit community theatre company based on the Northern Beaches of Sydney, Australia.
Founded in 1971, we are a non-denominational, Christian-led organisation staging a minimum of one musical and/or dramatic play yearly. These range from the standard popular musicals and plays to Christian based shows.
We present a Christmas cantata for a number of churches in the Northern Beaches and North Shore area each December.
We also run a number of drama and music workshops throughout the year.
Our rehearsals are held at St Albans Anglican Church, Frenchs Forest.
Our major shows are performed at the Montgomery Theatre, RSL Veterans' Retirement Village, Collaroy Plateau.
In line with one of the original aims of the Company, FAMS continues to support Christian charities as well as sponsoring a World Vision child.
We are always pleased to welcome new members into our ranks. This includes performing and non-performing members i.e. costumes, stage management, lighting, set design/construction, musicians, and the many administrative roles that are necessary for the running of the Company.
