On the left is one of K's main streets! Open drains carry raw sewerage etc. as street vendors including food vendors sell their goods in close proximity. These photos give a glimpse into the many challenges facing the K community eg. lack of hygiene, waste and rubbish piling up, havoc caused by rains (frequent flooding), poor living conditions. As a result diseases spread rapidly through the community affecting all ages.
