How serious is the training?

The answer is that it is as tough and intense as you want it to be. Although training gets more intense during the race season, we are always willing to accept new people into the boat and regularly refine our training patterns to make sure everyone is getting the most out of the experience.

The racing season runs from December with the Docklands Cup and builds through January and February to the culminating event for many teams, the Melbourne International Dragonboat Festival in March. In recent years Cowboys have participated in the Ord River marathon, one of the longest distance Dragon Boat races in the world, and have competed in competitions at Fall Creek, Docklands and Singapore.
