Lithgow Small Arms Factory Museum

This museum contains the most comprehensive display of Small Arms and other Artefact in Australia.  Together with the exhibits there is a detailed expose of the history and people that engaged in the design and manufacture of the weapons that the factory produced and the roles these weapons played in Australia’s conflicts overseas.  The museum occupies two floors of the original main office and the top floor is accessed by stairs.

We will assemble at Epping Station at 8.15 am to catch the train that departs platform 2 at 8.32 am to Strathfield.  At Strathfield we transfer from platform 5 to platform 6 and join the 8.57 am train to Westmead Station, Here we will remain on the platform for the Blue Mountain’s train at 9.16 am.  This train is scheduled to arrive at Lithgow at 11.17 am.  The route 100 bus will arrive at 11.51 am and it will drop us of at the Museum at around midday. The museum tour will take about an hour and a light lunch of home-prepared sandwiches will be provided by the Museum staff.  The lunch cost is $15 per head and it includes tea or coffee.

It is anticipated that the return journey will get us back to Epping at 6.25 pm.
