Visit to the NSW Rail Museum at Thirlmere

The NSW Rail Museum is home to Australia’s largest collection of working and static rolling stock with a very large collection of objects, artefacts and memorabilia on display.

Our visit is by car. To get there take M2 and M7 and the freeway to Goulburn.  Turn off at the Picton exit and drive through to Picton and turn left to the road to Thirlmere.  At Thirlmere turn right over the railway line and take a left turn into Barbour Street.  The Museum is on the left and there is plenty of parking

Our tour of the Museum will be conducted by one of the volunteer experts and will last about one hour.  Entrance the Museum will cost $8 for seniors. The tour will commence at 11.00 am and will last about an hour.

Our lunch is in the bistro of the Picton Bowling Club.  Take the road back to Picton and carry straight through till you see the Bowling Club on your left.
