Concord West to Canterbury

Note the change to the start point. This reduces the distance a bit as a recent walk along this route found a lot of path and waterways construction that may cause detours. It should be an interesting walk.

Meet at Epping 8:50 for 9:02 train platform 2 to Concord West at 9:16

Morning tea & comfort stop at Bicentennial Park at approximately 9:25 till 9:40

Backtrack a bit and then take walking path beside Homebush Bay Dr along Powells Creek. Then a bit of street walking to get to crossing points of the Western Motorway and Highway and continue south through Strathfield to the Cooks River.

Lunch at a park on the Cooks River then on to Canterbury station for the return trip via Redfern Station

Walk is flat, approx 11 km across some parks, along walking paths and street footpaths. Work on tracks and in parks may cause a few rough bits.
