Epping and District Probus Club Inc. – Walk Program

The May walk will circumnavigate Dangar Island.

We will meet at Epping Station to catch the 9.10 am train to Hawkesbury River Station arriving there at approximately 9.46 am.  Then 100 steps in total, up and down, from the platform to the Dangar Island Ferry wharf (no lifts)

We will have morning tea before boarding the 10.15 am to Dangar Island, arriving there at approximately 10.55 am.  Note this is a small private ferry so fares are not included in your seniors Opal card.  The fare for senior’s is concession is $.3.70 each way, ie., $7.40 total. Cash only and no large denomination notes will be accepted.  You most show your senior’s card otherwise it will cost you double.

We will then follow the only road on the island anticlockwise, up hill and down dale around the island to look at an interesting island community of homes and water views with even a short walk along Bradley’s Beach (tides and weather permitting) to the local Bowling Club park for lunch.

After lunch a short walk back to the ferry wharf for the 1.15pm ferry
