Monday 20 March
The outing on Monday, 20 March 2017 is a guided tour of the Reserve Bank Currency Museum at 65 Martin Place, Sydney, beginning at 10.30 a.m. The tour provides an overview of the history of our banknotes set in a background of Australian history which many of us will remember.
The tour will be followed by lunch at City Tattersalls Club which is several blocks away, just far enough for you to work up a good appetite and thirst. Lunch will be in Café2 at your cost.
Travel will be by train from Epping Station, changing at Town Hall Station for travel to Martin Place Station. The Macquarie Street exit at Martin Place Station brings us out right at the Reserve Bank (65 Martin Place), between Philip and Macquarie Streets. Full travel detail will be provided in next month’s Newsletter following clarification of the impact of some construction work at Town Hall Station.
There is no charge for the guided tour. However, bookings are required as both the Reserve Bank and City Tatts require numbers in advance.
