My goal here is to help alleviate distress, overcome problem behaviours, improve thinking patterns and facilitate decision-making and goal achievement.

Specific aims could be:
1) The alleviation of negative feelings such as guilt, hurt, loss, grief, jealousy, resentment, depression, anxiety, worry or anger such that positive feelings of joy and happiness can be fully experienced,
2) 0vercoming fears and reducing problematical or self-defeating behaviours,
3) The development of confidence and self-esteem and decreasing self-criticism and self-sabotage,
4) Stress management,
5) Achieving goals and life satisfaction,
6) Facilitating life reviews and goal setting,
7) Recognising and changing limiting and negative self-defeating beliefs,
8) Making positive life changes,
9) Adjusting constructively to trauma and crises that arise unexpectedly,
10) Improving communication and personal relationships in a familial, social or occupational context,
11) Becoming a more sensitive and supportive parent,
12) Developing problem-solving skills,
13) Reducing impulsivity and rashness,
14) Developing leadership or nurturing qualities,
15) Healing childhood hurts,
16) Resolution of conflicts within oneself or with others by developing self-awareness and acquisition of skills through role play and behaviour rehearsal,
17) Development of self-awareness and promotion of growth,
18) Resolving developmental issues from earlier life stages (such as independence, assertion, etc.),
19) Providing feedback to other health professionals assisting you,
20) Overcoming addictions of any type – food, alcohol and drugs, sexual habits, antisocial or other problem behaviours,
21) Providing professional medico-legal reports to the Courts or other decisionmakers.
