Day 13- 29/6
Today we had a rest day from training getting ready
for the race. We all caught the train into Prague
to look at the sights. The clock tower and the bridge
were highlights. Much shopping was done at all of
the cheap shops where large amounts of Prague drinking
team t-shirts were bought and other trinkets. We all
met up for dinner at a pizza restaurant where Tim's
parents joined us. Arriving home a large BB gun fight
was played out. That concludes todays activities.

Just to add a couple of additional notes for the
night. After the team left the Pizza Restaurant and
headed back to the Boathouse Glenn and Vicki Feben
and I decided to take in a tour of the central part
of Prague. We chose a 1928 Prager Vintage car to be
our mode of transport, driven by an english speaking
local guide. What a fantastic evening it turned out
to be, we had a great tour of the city with the guide
pointing out all the historical buildings in the old
and new parts of the city. The highlight of the tour
was the trip up to the castle, brilliant view over
the city. Prague is truly a magnificent city. After
two hours we returned to our originally starting point,
a mere 3000 Kc (AUS$240)between the 3 of us. See some
of the pictures in the gallery.
I made my way back to the boathouse by taxi, on my
return it was a quick trip to the supermarket for
a few things for breakfast (Tesco is 24hour supermarket,
thank goodness). We it is 1:00am in the morning and
I am still here typing away. Well I am going to say
good night and upload the information to the Website.
See you all for the next diary entry.
Cheers
