"The Clearout".

From Jack Bruce’s “Songs For a Tailor album.

The band consisted of Jack Bruce, bass vocals piano, organ, cello.Chris

Spedding,guitarJon Hiseman,drums,Felix Papalardi,backing vocals

,percussion,John Marshall ,drums,Art Theman,Dick Heckstall‑ Smith,Henry

Lowther,Harry Beckett Jon Mumford,brass.

It’ a song that lends itself in the new millennium to be reinvented .It has the basis

of what could be a real rocker with some instrument changes ,tempo change

and change to the militaristic drum introduction that is sounding dated (to

my ears).

But Jacks bass and vocals rip this song along. In between each line in the

verse gives you the opportunity to attempt to do a "busy " Jack fill that he

does so well and without repetition. I crank the gain switch on the amp and

try to emulate Jacks EB3 built in distortion unit. What a sound !
