Folk Song was originally on Jacks 1971 “Harmony Row” LP
and has obviously been a favourite of his over the
years.
Harmony Row was released in 1971 and since then
apart from many live
performances Jack has included this song on his
“Willpower”
CD,”Monjack” and “The Jack Bruce Collectors Edition”
“Folk Song” originally was recorded for 4Min. 15
sec. and has grown to 5
Min 17 sec. over the year’s .The later versions
shows the maturity of
Jack’s voice and obviously recording technology
enhancements.
This is a great track and a folk song with wonderful
physychodelic
lyrics by Pete Brown and a Scottish folk feel of the
music by Jack makes
it a classic.
This wasn’t the easiest song to work on so if there
are any chord errors
please let us know so we can correct them.
Musicians on the track are:
Jack Bruce: Vocals, piano, Bass,
Chris Spedding, Guitar, Bazuki ,
John Marshall: Drums,
Engineered by Barry Ainsworth
