What is the software for MB-EA285 850VA/510W UPS?

There are three software contains in the software CD and being designed for various UPS models. The model of MB-EA285 850VA/510W UPS is designed to use the software called as RUPS2000 which contains in the software CD.

In the folder, you can select your operation system. The software supports Windows 98SE, ME, NT, 2000, XP and 2003, Novell Netware, DOS and Linux.

Why is the serial number on the CD not working?

The serial number printed on the envelope of CD has three groups of numbers, all of them including "-" must be entered correctly in order to activate the software.

Why I cannot install the software?

Some of personal firewall or Anti-Virus software may block the installation, you need to check all settings of those software and make sure to permit the process.

Can the UPS shut down its own when the AC power fail?

Yes, The default setting for the UPS shutting down is at 10min, you can change that through "Settings".

What can I do, when the screen turn blue and the system cannot shut down properly?

There may be some conflicts between the program and your system, it causes the system cannot shut down properly. the solution is you need to install an upgrade software into your system.
