There are songs in various format on the net, many of them are made in WMA format. You may know there is DRM copyright protection, which prevents unauthorized person to play protected songs so as to protect the interest of owner.

Some websites provide songs in WMA format without DRM protection, which can be copied and played freely as MP3. But there are also some websites provide songs in WMA format with DRM protection only (such as www.9sky.com), which can only be played with licensed Windows Media Player (Windows Media Player is a free WMA player, you can download it from many websites), you can’t simply copy them to another computer without license. Such protection effectively prevented the proliferation of song, hence protected the interest of their owner.
This digital player is also furnished with WMA playing function. When you want to download a song of WMA format with related DRM, please DO NOT copy the song simply as it can’t be played in the player normally by such a manner. Please open all files in MWA format to be downloaded by your Windows Media Player first (If it can be played, then you can download). Connect the digital player with computer by using of the USB communication line, the screen of the player will be displayed with ”PC Link...” and one movable disk will be found (Such as J:\). Click the button of “Portable device” on the left of Windows Media Player, a picture of music copy will be prompted. Select the file names you want to be copied from the left, then click “Music copy” on left top corner, now you can copy songs with related DRM protection correctly to the digital player.

It depends on the storage size of the MP3 player as well as the capacity available, the bigger the compression rate, the longer the available time under the same capacity. Based on the common compression rate, the size of MP3 file is about 1MB for 1 minute. For 64MB / 128MB / 256MB storage, we could have about 64 / 128/ 256 minutes of song to be stored in the digital player.

As different parameters in volume may be used during recording, this is why may have different volume in MP3 songs.

The memory chip in the MP3 player is divided into zones of 16KB or 32KB, a file in 1 Byte could still occupy a memory zone. Therefore, it is possible to have file less than available space in the player but can’t be downloaded into the MP3 player.

The system of the player shall occupy some space, including character library as well as some other special data. The larger the disk space, the bigger the space occupied by the system.

(2) Please confirm that the USB driver is installed (For WINDOWS 98 and Mac operation system only).

The steps to update MP369/389/399/MP380 firmware
1) Connect the MP3 and PC with the USB cable
2) Turn off the main power of the MP3
3) Turn on the main power.
4) Press the on/off button and hold it for ten seconds, ( NO display will on the screen)
5) Go to "START" menu > programs > Truly MP369/380 multimedia player > MP3update
6) After the recovery mode do the MP3 update again (pls untick the quick download)
7) Do MP3 Format (pls untick the quick format)
