YES!

Believe it or not, but in outback Australia there are canoe clubs. One of the more competitive and successful canoe clubs anywhere in Australia is the North West Canoe Club, located in Mount Isa. And the club's big race for the year, the Gregory River Canoe Marathon is one of the best and certainly in the most picturesque location you will get a chance to compete in.
