Afraid that global overpopulation will make his job impossible, Santa Claus hires an overweight African American to cover Australia; though he endures a series of comical mishaps, the young man with the help of Snowball the Elf comes through on Christmas Eve and makes his delivery of holiday wishes.

SYNOPSIS

SANTA CLAUS (348) has a big problem. The global population is reaching seven billion people. There is no way he can deliver all the presents because it would mean over six hundred houses per second would need to be passed. Santa and MRS. CLAUS (335) come up with an idea. They will hire a secret Santa Claus to help deliver presents. A perfect plan, they just have to keep it secret from Santa’s main elf, SNOWBALL (82).

As Santa dislikes the warm December weather down under in Australia and because it’s the only country where he doesn’t use FLYING REINDEER to propel his sleigh, Mrs. Claus suggests the new hire be assigned the job of delivering toys solely in Australia. Enthusiastic about this idea, Santa decides against flying to Australia in the sleigh for job interviews as this would tire the reindeer for the soon approaching holiday. Instead, he opts to utilize a hiring agency in NYC and uses his contacts within the U.S. military to fly him there by jet.

ARNOLD BAKER, (28) is just out of a job when he hears that a hardware store is hiring. Santa who is undercover isn’t happy with any of the prospective employees. When Arnold walks in Santa already frustrated with the lack of progress is beside himself – Santa isn’t African American. Arnold picks up Santa’s magic pouch and makes a wish for the job before Santa can stop him. Santa now has no choice and explains the truth to Arnold.

Arnold agrees to the Santa job in Australia. Santa gives Arnold the Santa Claus suitcase that contains the manual and his Santa outfit. Arnold boards the plane for Australia, not realizing his suitcase has been left behind. Arnold is immediately smitten with stewardess CANDY WHITE (28).

When Arnold arrives he realizes his suitcase is missing. He checks into the hotel. He races to find a Santa suit, kangaroos, and build a sleigh. He also hunts for Candy White.

Arnold’s missing suitcase shows at the North Pole. Elf SNOWBALL is furious at Santa for hiring a secret Santa without his permission. Snowball heads to Australia to find Arnold and sort out the mess that Santa Claus created.

Snowball locates Arnold and whips him off and into shape at the Secret Claus Ranch.

It’s Christmas Eve, Santa’s sleigh is moved outside, and his special team of kangaroos are rounded up and rigged. Santa Claus rendezvous and drops off Australia’s supply of Christmas wishes.

Bang, catastrophe the wooden Sleigh is ruined and Arnold must use the one he built. Piece by piece it falls apart in a mad capped, magical journey around Australia.  Arnold is pleasantly surprised to find Candy and they make a date.

Santa Claus is cheerful that Christmas was saved and wants Arnold to come back next year. Arnold sneaks off to be with Candy – she has the perfect present for him; an outfit to wear; Arnold opens it and there is nothing inside – exactly! Fireworks explode!

Snowball knows deep down he’s just saved the day again!
