Thinking Stories 1, 2 and 3

Thinking Stories is a series of books that contain children’s stories which aim to engage 7-13 year-olds in philosophical discussion. The authors of the stories in books 1 and 2 are by leading philosophers and educators in the Philosophy for Schools movement from around the world. Book 3 is a set of philosophical stories by Philip Cam addressing ethical and social themes in an Australian setting for upper primary.

Each story book is accompanied by a Teacher Resource/Activity Book.

Thinking Together: Philosophical Inquiry for the Classroom

Written for primary school teachers with an interest in developing children’s thinking skills, this book shows how children’s literature and other materials can be used to stimulate children’s thinking. It clearly explains methodology including questioning and discussion techniques, and how to develop activities.

Philosophy with Kids is a series of teacher resource books. Books 1,2 & 3 are suited to Infants and Middle Primary and offer practical advice on how to begin the process of philosophical inquiry in the classroom. The books use Australian children’s literature as stimulus material.

This book provides an introduction to the teaching of critical and creative thinking skills using a comic book format and activities that stimulate discussion. It is suitable for upper primary and lower secondary students. A Student Handbook and Teacher’s Guide are available.
