Technical Skills:

Confident in use of Object-Oriented Programming with C++, Visual C++, C++ Builder, Visual Basic, Java and C#.Net, good knowledge of OpenGL, Fortran, C, and some Assembly language. Experienced in using OO tools and diagrams for analysis and design of software projects.

Web development:

Capable of developing interactive web pages using JavaScript, VBScript, HTML, Dhtml, PHP, CGI, XML, ASP, CSS. Experienced in using Microsoft FrontPage, Macromedia Fireworks, Macromedia Flash, Macromedia Dreamworks, Adobe Photoshop, Paint Shop Pro and Microsoft Visual Interdev.

Database:

Experienced in building relational database using Microsoft Access, SQL 2000.

Was awarded first prize in essay competition organized by Tourism Ministry in Nepal on the occasion of World Tourism Day.

Extensively involved in further research on “Extremely Mobile Ad Hoc Networks”, specifically in developing routing protocols for intermittently connected mobile ad hoc networks.
Main role is to analyse the performance of current routing techniques in order to develop on them.

Actively involved in the full development and regular maintenance and upgrade of the website for an ARC-funded research network.
Resourcefully developed an automatic booking system for fluorescence microscopes, which includes invoice preparation and membership management besides the booking management.
Languages used: HTML, DHTML, PHP, JavaScript, CGI, MySQL, CGI, Python. Testing done using local installation of Apache, PHP, MySQL.

Oct 2003 Worked at information desk at Open Day and Advising day at Macquaire University
Nov 2001 – Feb 2002 Summer Vacation Project: Scholarship provided by Australain Telecommunication Corporate Research Centre (ATcrc). Assisted in research work at RMIT Centre for Advanced Technology in Telecommunications (CATT on routing in dynamic networks, developed on an existing program written in Visual C++ and analyzed the results in Excel.
Dec 1999 – April 2000 Worked at Market Lane Café at Queen Victoria Market in the food delivery section. Main aim was to attract the shopkeepers in the market to become a customer of the café, so was very helpful in developing communicating skills.
