Our Church At Prayer |
For our GUC community:
This week we pray for:
• We pray for Rosemary and Steve Sweet who are riding from Adelaide to Albury and perhaps on to Canberra and for the Shelton Family as they prepare to go overseas.
• We pray for the Morris Family as they seek to find a new church and we give thanks for their part over the past years with us.
• We pray for our Building Working Group, Architects, and relationships with Synod and Presbytery as we draw closer to the final stage of our building planning.
• We pray for Hayden Bashfield and his family as we celebrate his baptism today.
• We pray for our discernment in our work with children and youth and for the opportunities before us.
For our Presbytery and wider church:
This week we pray for the Centre for Christianity and Culture in Barton.
For the world:
This week we pray for Bolivia, Chile, Peru.

We pray for:
• Those who feed the poor, even when they do not have much themselves.
• Charangos, pan pipes and drums, sounds which give glory to God.
• Liberation theology and those who put it into practice by working for social justice with and for the poor.
• Saint Martin de Porres, the first black Catholic saint from Latin America, who spent his life caring for the poor of Lima.
• Languages and cultures which try to retain an old identity while coming to terms with the modern world.
• Machu Picchu, Lake Titicaca, and the Andes.

Surveys
If you haven’t had a chance to complete either our National Church Life Survey or Pastoral Care Survey, then today is your last opportunity!
The results of the NCLS survey will be compiled in Sydney and the Pastoral Care survey, which is anonymous, will be compiled and then considered by the Family Group Facilitators and Leaders. Once both are compiled the congregation will also get opportunities to see and reflect upon the results.
Both surveys are important as we consider our directions and work for the future.
