My interests include:

• Cycling (frequently): I'm a member of Bicycle Victoria: includes insurance.
• Music Lovers' Society (supports young artists with recitals): Honorary Treasurer.
• The Organs of the Ballarat Goldfields Festival in January (second Friday for 10 days) offers interesting programs in churches and buildings in Ballarat and nearby towns (including Daylesford).
• The Australian National Academy of Music has excellent musicians and frequent recitals; the Faculty of Music at The University of Melbourne also has many excellent recitals, and the School of Music at Monash University is also worth noting.
• Films (all vintages), and I'm a member of the Australian Film Institute, which holds the Australian Film Festival in August-September, and Queer Film Australia, which stages an annual film festival in Melbourne in March. The Melbourne International Film Festival also has (too?) many interesting films (July-August), and ACMI has a bi-monthly catalogue (posted free) with many films you may not otherwise see in Australia, hosting a number of organisations including the Cinématèque, which has screenings most Wednesdays (plus some other specail screenings), with films from early 20th century (silent) to recent, including many classics, often on restored prints.
