actstwenty9 Conference Information

For I am about to do a brand-new thing.
See, I have already begun!
Do you not see it?
I will make a pathway through the wilderness for my people to come home.
I will create rivers for them in the desert!

(Isaiah 43:19, NLT)

actstwenty9 '07: Mission in a Brave? New World

As one part of the Illawarra Presbytery of the Uniting Church's commitment to building up the people of God as we plan for mission into 2007 and beyond, we are hosting a series of gatherings under the actstwenty9 banner. The intention is that these gatherings will provide opportunities for worship, education, equipping and inspiration as we look forward to God's plans and purposes for our Congregations and our mission with our communities.

Our first actstwenty9 gathering will be held on Saturday 17th March 2007 at Corrimal Region Uniting Church. At this time we will alo be officially launching the actstwenty9 network and, we hope, introducing a developing programme of mission equipping.

As we launch we are privileged to have as our keynote speaker the Rev. Keith Garner - the Superindentant of Wesley Mission. Keith will be addressing our theme: Mission in a Brave? New World as we seek to discern what it means to be servants of Jesus Christ offering "holistic" ministry within our world.
