Head to IndiaFormer Craigmore Cricket Club junior player Travis Head has been rewarded for his efforts in the 2010/11 Under 17 National Championship by being named in a 14 man Australian U19 squad to tour India in late September 2011.
Commenting on the squad, National Talent Manager Greg Chappell said: “The youths election panel has made a number of changes to the squad that played matches against the West Indies in Dubai in April as some who were not there are now available for selection.
Craigmore’s Rob Howe recently brought up his 200th game - a fine
effort in itself.
But it is his sustained performance over the journey that makes him
one of the legends of the Para Districts competition.
Howe has played almost his entire career in A Grade and has averaged 40 with the bat, amassing nearly 7500 runs.
He has also managed 320 wickets at 15. He has twice won the McKenzie Medal for the best player in PDCA’s A Grade.
