Gisela, Neko (the blonde Burmese) and Ninja (the tawny Abyssinian)

Why "G-Gal"? Just a nickname I adopted when I was part of a business called G-Man. I used to work for G-Man as a documentation consultant, writing software manuals and online help, and developing web pages. I'm still a technical writer but these days I work for Honeywell.

In 1998 I went on temporary detour from technical documentation, doing a PhD in German Literature. My doctoral thesis was on the Austrian writer, Ingeborg Bachmann (1926-1973), who is as well-known to the German-speaking literary scene as, say, Virginia Woolf is in English literature.
