Carnival Competition

Many swimmers have found that swimming at the club has given them the confidence to compete in school events and to attempt greater distances. Some go on to train regularly and many become active in surf club swimming. Most enjoy getting out with people of their age in an active family setting. Competition with other south coast and state clubs can be enjoyed at all levels .

The club has 110 members between five and eighty five years old with the biggest numbers in the eight to twelve years group. Races are handicapped so that swimmers finish together. Faster swimmers swim longer distances. Events offered include all strokes in distances from 25m to 100m with occasional relays, medleys and longer races. An adult freestyle race is run as the first event of every night.

Club organisation is arranged by members and the parents of members with an executive group elected by eligible members each year. Organisation follows very simple lines and is as informal as possible. If you have children who like to swim ,if you are a swimmer your self, you are most welcome to swim for an evening to try things out before paying for membership. Most of our fees go to NSW swimming.
