our story

Gaelic Dream was formed in the year 2000 for the pure fun of expressing our Scottish roots and as a way of promoting Scottish and Celtic culture in our community. Based in Brisbane, Australia, the Gaelic Dream dancers are a family dance troupe consisting of Crystal, Benjamin, Riley, Remy, Mischa and Atlanta. All of us are formally trained in the art of Scottish Highland Dancing. We choreograph all our dances and place a new and different interpretation on the entertainment aspect of traditional dance that is very acclaimed by the many and varied audiences we perform for.

We delight in performing our Scottish dances and mainly Gaelic songs and tunes for the sheer joy of life, and to encourage others to enjoy life as well. As Gaelic Dream we have strived through the years to create something that our audiences and we can be excited by. We know that our Scottish culture is distinctive and invigorating and we want to entertain our audiences with a unique spectacular like no other. Hopefully along the way the entertainment will also encourage more people to indulge in the Scots culture as well.

Gaelic Dream regularly perform to a broad audience mix at a variety of prominent World class and International Festivals, Government functions, Scottish events, Tattoos, Medieval events, Highland Gatherings, Dinners and private functions. We see ourselves dancing, singing and playing music well into the future, for the very good reason that we like to do so.
