folksKJ (see demo), the Karaoke Jockey, is a MIDI Karaoke player with following features:
Standard MIDI Karaoke features:
  • Plays KAR and standard MIDI files.
  • Allows changing key and tempo.
  • Background images.
  • Creates play and song list.
Special features:
  • Mute melody with automatic melody detection for KAR and MIDI files.
  • Cutomized photo albums for background images.
  • Display time stamp of digital photos (Exif information).
  • Use song number input, easy use with remote control.
Requirements:
  • Windows 2000/XP
  • No installation required.
  • Permission to store registry data.
  • Full features for unregistered users.
  • No time limitation in evaluation phase.

Due to its special slide show feature for digital photos, folksKJ was chosen to be listed in the monthly CD-ROM of the German photography magazine FOTO-VIDEO DIGITAL 3/2004.

  • folksSCREEN which allows transition effects in slideshow.
  • folksSCREEN can be run on a different machine in the LAN. Diffrent slideshows can be run at the same time while all PC's displaying the same lyrics, I call this KaLANoke :-)
Fixed:
  • Reset XG mode on song start.
  • Optimized lyrics appearance
  • "3rd Party DB" dialog cannot be opened if path doesn't exist.

  • Resets key and tempo before a new song.
  • Hide mouse pointer after idling for 3sec while playing song in full screen mode.
Fixed:
  • Missing window caption in main screen, unable to be controlled by HIP remote software on startup.
