Our Commitment To Your Children

Carlingford Uniting Soccer Club is committed to ensuring that the safety, welfare and wellbeing of children (players under 18 years) is maintained at all times during their participation in activities run by the Club.  Our aim is to provide an environment that is free of physical and sexual harassment or abuse, sexist or racist behaviour, and where foul, abusive or blasphemous language is not tolerated.   Please also read our detailed Club Policy on Working With Children.

We ensure that our Club Officials, Coaches, Managers Trainers and other appointed supervising adults who are responsible for the care of children in our Club Teams thoroughly understand their responsibilities as supervisors and role models; that they behave appropriately; and in a manner reflecting the Club’s Church affiliation.

Additionally, we require these Club Appointed Members to comply with the "Working With Children" regulations outlined in the Child Protection (Prohibited Employment) Act 1998.  This requires that each of these members must sign a declaration that they are not a "prohibited person" prior to having involvement with your children.

We have appointed a Club Child Protection Officer (George Mavros) who is responsible for training and advising our Club Appointed Members on their responsibilities, and dealing appropriately with any concerns raised.  Any player, member, parent or official who has concerns regarding the welfare of children during Club sponsored activities should immediately contact the Club’s Child Protection Officer in the strictest confidence.
