Yep, the other stuff place.  That isn't to say we don't like the stuff here, or think it is unimportant.

a. Lismore-Akiko.JPG (94891 bytes)     b. NightCapNatPark.JPG (122889 bytes)     c. Lismore-Lee.JPG (106916 bytes)

  1. This is from Lismore, a northern NSW town, where we spent the first half of '98.   This photo was taken about 200m from our flat, outside the (conveniently located) local McDonalds.  Akiko likes the bush.  Apparently.
  2. This is me hiking through rugged terrain to the NightCap Falls.  This is one of the few times we actually did some exercise in Lismore.
  3. This was taken on the street just outside our Lismore flat, early one morning.

d. OperaHouse-Lee.JPG (64089 bytes)     e. AkikoinKimono.JPG (50723 bytes)     f. GeelongGrammar.JPG (58367 bytes)

  1. Ah yes.  The Opera House.  A prerequisite image for any Australian websites.
  2. For contrast, a Japanese cultural photo - Akiko in a kimono.
  3. Geelong Grammar - Akiko's old stamping ground.  Used to be a hotbed of racism.

g. MelbourneUni.JPG (48286 bytes)     h. Kingscliff1.JPG (79750 bytes)     i. Kingscliff2.JPG (48566 bytes)

  1. The famous law court at Melbourne University - where we both did our tertiary studies.
  2. A view looking south of the beach at Kingscliff, where we spent the last half of 1998 (while I was at a practice in Murwillumbah).  Beautiful beach, dolphins included.   Here's Akiko looking for shells.
  3. A view of Kingscliff beach, looking north.  Akiko is actually in the foreground, but I messed up the exposure.  Pick her out if you can!

j. pp1.jpg (62709 bytes)      k. tomato.jpg (111877 bytes)     l. pp2.jpg (59258 bytes)

  1. One of Akiko's porcelain paintings, depicting hydrageas clustered on a plate, as inspired by a cookie tin.
  2. Home grown cherry tomatoes and nasturiums, the setting is our dining area in our Newcastle flat.
  3. Another of Akiko's porcelain paintings, a portrait of a Victorian girl.

m.  BlueRosePorcelain.JPG (68467 bytes)     n.   CitrusPorcelain.JPG (82113 bytes)

  1. A recent porcelain painting by Akiko (September 1999) - a blue bouquet.
  2. Also completed September 1999 - a lemon & cherry composition.

o. SpoonTrick.JPG (47934 bytes)

  1. Finally, for your personal edification and intellectual enhancement, my infamous spoon trick.  (Wow!  What suction!  I bet he could pass the Godfrey's Bowling Ball test!)
