Guidelines for Stroke Play
The number of strokes a player takes to complete each hole is recorded on the scorecard. The score for the 18 holes is totalled to provide the player's gross score.
The nett score is the gross score minus the player's full handicap.
The player who completes the stipulated round in the fewest nett strokes is the winner.
The gross score is used to determine the gross winner in club championships.
Except in championship rounds, in the interest of fast play, players are to pick up their ball after they have had their 9th shot. If at this stage the ball has not been holed the the score on the scorecard is to reflect a 9 with a circle around it.
Ensure your card has your name, handicap, date, and is signed by yourself and your marker.
