One of the oldest alphabets of the rovás is preserved on the pages of a codex found in the library of Dietrichstein in Nicolsburg (today Mikulovo in Moravia). It was copied from a wooden board in the 15-th century and reveals: Litterae Siculorum quae sculpunt vel cidunt in lignis (the letters of the Székelys, that were carved or incised into wood). Today it is in the Széchenyi library. Notable is that at the time of writing of this document the Hungarian voices did not have proper Roman representations yet, as we know them today (like: C, CS, GY, Ö, SZ, Ü etc.).
