Spokane Community College - If you’re looking for a college in Spokane that is both cheaper and easier to attend than either of the major universities, then you should think about Spokane Community College. Like most community colleges, Spokane allows anybody who has graduated from high school the chance to enroll. What this means is that you don’t have to worry about getting rejected – in fact, the only thing you need to do go get into this college is apply, and you’re in.
Spokane Community College also offers some programs that are helpful to high school students. One of these programs is called “running Start”. This is a program that allows high school students to take community college classes that count as high school requirements and college requirements while they’re still in high school. The result is that high school students are able to earn their two year Associate’s degree at the same time as they’re finishing up high school.
Another benefit of this Running Start program is that even if the student is not planning on attending that particular community college, it’s likely that the credits that he or she takes will count at whatever college they end up applying to. This is a great option for students who do not feel like they’re being challenged by normal high school classes. If you’re looking for a challenge, you can definitely find it in a program that allows students to take college and high school classes at the same time.
One important thing to keep in mind if you’re thinking about attending Spokane Community College is that unless you’re a Running Start student, you need to think of what your career might be. While you don’t need to know when you attend a lot of other colleges, this college requires that students apply to certain programs of study. If you’re still undecided, you are allowed to apply, but the number and types of courses that you’ll be allowed to take are restricted.
