Broward Community College - When you’re in high school, there’s a lot of emphasis placed on going to a four-year university as soon as you graduate. For most people, however, that’s not the best option. In fact, more and more people are finding it worth their time to go to a community, or two-year college first. By attending a college like Broward Community College, you can get a head start on college, without necessarily traveling far away from home.
Broward Community College is also much cheaper than two years of any university – so if the cost of a university is too high, you should consider looking at this community college as an alternative. However, if you think that the costs of community college are still too high for you, it’s not a big deal – even community colleges offer financial aid to students who need it. All you have to do is fill out the financial aid application, and you’re on your way. (It’s also helpful to fill out the FAFSA form – which lets you apply for government funded financial aid money).
Unlike a lot of universities, Broward also has the advantage of easy admission. How easy? If you’ve graduated from high school, earned your GED, or even if you’re home educated to a standard high school graduate level, admission is guaranteed. All you have to do is fill out the application, and you’ll be able to attend.
If you haven’t graduated from high school yet, that doesn’t mean that Broward Community College isn’t for you. There are also some high school programs that are offered by the community college. Essentially, these are good for students who do not feel challenged by the normal high school class load – they can work on earning a college degree before they even graduate!
Broward Community College also offers a lot of classes that are ideal for people who work, or who have otherwise busy lives during the weekdays. If you need classes that are offered on weekends, then you should consider this community college. Instead of taking time off of work to earn a degree, you can study while you work. This is good for people who can’t afford to attend college without working at the same time.
