The tidewater community college was founded in 1968 as a part of the Virginia Community College System, and serves the South Hampton region with campuses in Chesapeake, Norfolk, Portsmouth, and Virginia Beach. Tidewater College is committed to meeting the education of the region and training needs as it advances the quality of life of the region through an educated and globally aware technologically engaged citizenry.
